Juggu's Island Resort - Wayanad
Juggu’s Island Resort's theme and architecture is based on vintage and traditional values. We intend to promote plantation tourism, and give our guests a ‘home away from home’ experience. Our suite rooms and wooden cottages are spacious, airy and provide fantastic views in all directions. Our cuisine will be mostly buffet, native style, and made from local vegetables, some of which is grown within the farm. The resort hosts features such as swimming, fishing, and trekking apart from boat rides and site seeing at the dam. The resort includes a children’s park, out-door gardens, camp fire, botanical nursery, kennels, convention hall, dining hall and a spacious car park. We also provide food and stay for the drivers of our guests to ensure that our guests travel back home safe and sound.
Nalukettu House is built according to Vastu and is in the traditional style. The building has a wooden roof with clay tiles. It uses all terminologies of a traditional Kerala house. The house has a “nadumittam” (central courtyard), “kolai” (verandah) and is “chadurmugham” (4 faces). It includes many terminologies such as sopanam, mondhayam, thazhikakudam, attam, sutram and so on. The emphasis is on the outdoor experience. Two bedroom Wooden Cottage with wooden walls, sealing and flooring for natural temperature control. Wooden single cottage with a sit out and a panoramic surround view.
