Fort Kumbhalgarh, Udaipur
Positioned in the middle of thirteen mountain peaks of the Aravali
range, Kumbhalgarh stands as a symbol of the past glory of the
kings. Kumbhalgarh or the ‘land of forts’, is located
in Rajasthan. Kumbhalgarh is related to the glory of the Mauryan
Empire. It is just two hours drive from Udaipur and south of Jaipur.
The territory derives its name from the famous Kumbhalgarh Fort,
the most magnificent of the 84 forts that stood during the Mewar
Kingdom.
